You’re Friendly Tech Guy

Scary – but I could see it happening some day.

Random Nonsense

Since I started hunting this year, I thought I’d post a picture of me in my camo and of course, my new decorations for my office.

To be fair – I didn’t kill the elk the horns came off of – but I did rescue this beautiful rack from the trash. So I decided to hang it in my office. It’s got a faint, musky smell to it – interesting and unnerving.

Grandma – is that you?

Oh Grandma – this reminds me of the time when we sat down and you tried to play Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror” on your organ. I was 12 years old and it scarred me for life. For those who have not been scarred by a Grandma trying to relate to a 12 year old – this is for you – enjoy!

Tracking a Dead Teddy

After my post about the Bowhunter’s Dilemma, I decided that I was going to have a conversation with my BIL and ask him if he would go still go to church with me on Sunday morning. He said he would, so after discussing it with Lovey, I decided to go ahead and take the National Bowhunter Education Foundation Hunter Safety class in Sisseton, SD.

I got up at 4:30 AM and drove to the class which was about 2.5 hrs away from Sioux Falls. I was the first one there – I even beat the instructor.  After sitting through the instruction, it became my turn to take the blood trail field test.

The prey was a teddy bear with an arrow in it and the blood was ketchup.  I found the dead teddy with no problem – he was hiding behind the piano in the Senior Center. I passed.

After that the class was over, I got my card and drove home.  I loved the class and learned alot. It was nice that the instructor was able to answer questions and was flexible with what he taught us. Now to get my tags and go hunting!
